Supporting Your Library

How to get involved!

Volunteering

You can! Individuals, families, local Friends of the Library, organizations and businesses are all welcome to volunteer. Those who would like more information on how to become a volunteer just stop by the library and fill out an application. Once we have reviewed your application the Library Director will call you and determine what services you can provide and your schedule.

Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Groesbeck Maffett Memorial Library is an organized group of local citizens who have banded together to accomplish the following goals for the library:

  • Raise funds to support library programs and training for all ages.
  • Support literacy programs for children of the community and Limestone County
  • Raise funds to build a new library or renovate the existing building that focuses on a community living room atmosphere.

Our Friends of the Library Board is comprised of the following individuals:

  • President: Elaine Nance
  • Vice President: Frances Bates
  • Secretary: Linda Nance
  • Treasurer: Liz McDaniel
